True faith is marked by many things, profound concern for the poor & marginalized being one of them.
And while the above is indeed import it is also true that profound concern for the poor & marginalized can exist in the absence of faith.
Of course the quote is most probably made within a broader context and so this is less of a statement and more of an observation. What say you?
